Triangles

  • Triangles have three sides and three angles, which add up to 180
  • Congruent Triangles - have the same size and shape (and remain congruent even if they are flipped, turned, or rotated

The circumcenter is the point equidistant from all three angles or vertices of a triangle. The incenter is the point equidistant from all three sides of a triangle. A median is a line drawn from a vertex of a triangle to the midpoint of the opposite side.

The centroid is the point where the three medians of a triangle meet.

An altitude is line drawn from a vertex of a triangle and, which is perpendicular to the opposite side.

The orthocenter is the point where the three altitudes of a triangle meet
